How to create epfo account

To create an EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organization) account, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the EPFO member portal website at https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/.
  2. On the homepage, click on the "Activate UAN" option under the "Important Links" section.
  3. You will be redirected to the UAN activation page. Enter your UAN (Universal Account Number), which is provided by your employer.
  4. Fill in other required details such as your member ID, Aadhaar, PAN (Permanent Account Number), name, date of birth, mobile number, and email address. Ensure that the information entered matches the details provided by your employer.
  5. Enter the captcha code displayed on the screen for verification purposes.
  6. Once all the details are filled in correctly, click on the "Get Authorization Pin" button.
  7. You will receive an authorization PIN on your registered mobile number.
  8. Enter the authorization PIN in the given field and click on the "Validate OTP and Activate UAN" button.
  9. If the provided details are verified successfully, your UAN will be activated.
  10. Set a password for your EPFO account by following the instructions on the screen. Choose a strong and secure password that is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.
  11. Once the password is set, log in to your EPFO account using your UAN and password.
  12. After logging in, you can access various services and facilities provided by EPFO, such as checking your provident fund (PF) balance, downloading your passbook, and updating your profile information.
